For all my singles it's time to batter up and play ball.  Take in one of the great American past times, watching a baseball game at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.

It's a great outing and a fun way to keep cool from the Arizona sun.  You never know who you might meet sitting next to you in your section at the ball park.

Cold beer and hot dogs will make the day complete.  If you've never been to a game at Chase Field you are in for a real treat. This state of the art baseball stadium even has a swimming pool.

Get your tickets and come relax as the Dbacks take on the Mets - Saturday August 10 at 5:10 pm.

Tickects and info can be found on the Diamondbacks offical website:

You don't have to live in Cave Creek to enjoy this great event.  Anyone in the Valley can take part.  But make sure to bring your significant other.  It's time for valley couples to hold hands and get a little warm and fuzzy.

My pick for you this week is Arizona History Dinners at Cartright's Sonoran Ranch House.

This three course dinner comes with western themed stories and live music.

This three course dinner comes complete with a presentation which includes live cowboy music, delicious drinks to quench your thirst.  Some of the guest speakers include stars from the PBS series, "Outrageous Arizona."

Dinner is $55 a very resasonable price to pay for a night of music, talent and delicious food and drink.

Hot Zones:  The Valley's fastest selling zip codes

Nationally, the month of June represented a slight blip in terms of the housing recovery.  According to the National Association of Realtors, previously owned home sales dipped 1.2%, a figure that could be attributed to low inventory levels and/or rising interest rates.  Locally, however, the outlook continues to improve, especially for those in a position to sell.  A perfect example of this would be the El Mirage area, recently cited at the top of Arizona cities for annual price appreciation.  According to the Center for Real Estate Theory and Practice, the price per square foot in El Mirage has risen 40% during the past year.  In other words, if you were to list your home for sale at the median home
