It's that time of year again, time to get the kids ready for back to school.  For so many valley families this can be and often is a challenge.

Here is how you can help so many. The St. Mary's Food Bank Alliance is hosting their BACK TO SCHOOL Donation Drive. They are inviting families to get involved and help out on this special night Tuesday August 13th at 6pm - 8pm.

They are looking for families to help out with filling the donated backpacks with the various school supplies.  They are also asking for school supplies to be donated for many valley families this school year. For all my singles it's time to batter up and play ball.  Take in one of the great American past times, watching a baseball game at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix.

It's a great outing and a fun way to keep cool from the Arizona sun.  You never know who you might meet sitting next to you in your section at the ball park.

Cold beer and hot dogs will make the day complete.  If you've never been to a game at Chase Field you are in for a real treat. This state of the art baseball stadium even has a swimming pool.

Get your tickets and come relax as the Dbacks take on the Mets - Saturday August 10 at 5:10 pm.

Tickects and info can be found on the Diamondbacks offical website: Arizona.diamondbacks.mlb.com

More details here on our website about the event coming up in September.

Besides monetary donations, Florence Crittenton is asking for donations of new or gently used shoes.  We also thought about the $10 shoe store in Phoenix where we love to get great deals on shoes.  We wanted to tell you about it and show you one of the pairs our Community Events Director, Diva Danielle bought there.
